Fiona MacGillivray

Fiona MacGillivray is a marketing and communications executive with over two decades of experience leading brand strategy across regional and global markets. She currently holds the position of Executive General Manager of Marketing and Communications for the Actuaries Institute, Australia’s peak professional body for actuaries. 

Her career includes senior leadership roles at Ernst & Young, where she worked as a Global Brand, Marketing and Communications Director, and at Allens, where she managed marketing and business development across the Asia Pacific region as a key member of the regional law firm’s leadership team. 

Driven by personal experience with severe food allergies within her family, Fiona has become a passionate advocate for food allergy safety and awareness. She previously volunteered as global airline coordinator for Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia, where she successfully lobbied major airlines to implement stronger safety policies for passengers with food allergies. 

Fiona’s commitment to community service extends to wildlife conservation, where she volunteers as a rescuer and rehabilitator with WIRES, one of Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organisations. 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from the University of Cape Town and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the University of the Witwatersrand Business School. Fiona is also a graduate of both Melbourne University’s Asialink Leadership Program and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
