We help Australians living with allergic conditions to manage the everyday, improving quality of life, health and wellbeing.

Become a Member
Members support the work of A&AA, by being more involved in the governance of the organisation. Membership applications are considered once a month. Applications will be considered by the A&AA Board, in accordance with the constitution, prior to acceptance. This means there will be a delay in you receiving information updates while the Board reviews your application. Please read the constitution before applying. Please note that both those who subscribe and those who join as members receive the same resources to their inbox. Please consider which option better suits your circumstances and interests.
To become a member, complete our Membership Application below. By completing this form, you are applying for membership of A&AA, which is a company limited by guarantee (where the maximum liability of each member in the event of the company being wound up is $1). No fees are payable for choosing to become a member. Members must renew membership every two years.
A&AA is a registered charity and Australia’s only national patient support organisation for people living with allergic disease including those managing severe allergy and the risk of anaphylaxis.
In 1993, a group of Sydney parents of children with food allergy formed our organisation. This group came together to share information and to advance the well-being of those living and managing severe allergy.
Today A&AA is the only national patient support organisation assisting people living with allergic disease. We are where we are today because of those founding parents and the many others who have joined along the way. Their foresight, their phenomenal passion and commitment has ensured that our organisation remains strong.
A&AA continues to make a huge contribution to supporting those of us who by no choice of our own, belong to a group of one of the world's most rapidly increasing chronic diseases. We are committed to being independent, and to providing evidence-based information to our community. People with allergies are at the forefront of all that we do.
Our supporters are the driving force behind significant advancements and improvements to the quality of life of individuals with allergy across the country.
Since the launch of the organisation in 1993, we have remained determined to increase awareness and support, improve education and empower people living with allergic disease to live the best life they can.
