Christmas is traditionally a time of feasting with family and friends – it conjures images of glazed ham, buckets of ice-cold prawns and a pavlova piled high with vibrant fruit. But for the millions of Australians with food allergy, it’s a time when the stresses they live with daily – the meticulous planning ahead, the triple-checking ingredients, the second-guessing and the fear of making a life-threatening wrong call – feel heavier than ever.

That’s why, this Christmas, we want to shine a light on Australia’s allergy burden and give new hope to families with allergy. Our National Allergy Helpline takes calls from Australians all year around who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious and in need of support to manage their condition. I am so thankful that we can provide this free service, but we can’t do it without your help.
