In this video A&AA Medical Advisory Board member Dr Brynn Wainstein, paediatric Clinical Immunology/Allergy Specialist from the Children’s Clinic in Bondi Junction describes what is involved in a skin prick test, as well as how these tests are interpreted by clinical immunology/allergy specialists when diagnosing food allergy. The individual’s history of signs or symptoms is seriously considered alongside skin prick test results before a diagnosis can be made.
