Allergen update Nestlé and Allen’s - January 2022 - updated!
Nestlé has asked Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia to provide the following update.
Nestlé and Allen’s recently launched three new bite-sized treats. Nestlé Rolo Chocolate Bites, Allen’s Bites Mini Dark Chocolate Raspberries and Allen’s Bites Chocolate Coconut Rough are now available in Australia and available in New Zealand soon.
The ingredients and allergens differ from similar Nestlé and Allen’s treats currently available. Nestlé and Allen’s strongly encourage people with food allergies to check the product label to ensure the product is right for them.
Nestlé Rolo Chocolate Bites
Contains milk.
May contain gluten containing ingredients.
The ingredients and allergens differ from the classic Nestlé Rolo block and, unlike the some of the Allen’s Bites products, Nestlé Rolo Chocolate Bites are not gluten free.
Allen’s Bites Mini Dark Chocolate Raspberries
Contains soy and milk.
May contain peanuts and tree nuts.
Allen’s Bites Mini Dark Chocolate Raspberries carry a ‘gluten free’ claim on pack. This product does not contain any gluten containing ingredients and is manufactured on a dedicated gluten free line, ensuring they are suitable for lolly lovers seeking a gluten free treat.
Allen’s Bites Chocolate Coconut Rough
Contains milk, soy and finely ground almonds, hazelnuts and macadamias.
May contain peanuts, other tree nuts and gluten containing ingredients.
The ingredients and allergens differ from the classic Nestlé Golden Rough and, unlike the some of the Allen’s Bites products, Allen’s Bites Chocolate Coconut Rough are not gluten free.
