Food Alert – Carman’s label change – 29 June 2021
MILK allergen update for Carman’s Dark Choc Espresso Nut Bar, Salted Dark Choc & Almond Protein Bar and Dark Choc & Cranberry Protein Bar – 28 June 2021
Carman’s is heightening its vigilance and reviewing all the company’s products to ensure that anyone who lives with food allergies can easily identify the products which may or may not cause an allergic reaction.
Whilst none of the below products require changing from a legislative perspective or a change to manufacturing, Carman’s has made the decision to alert consumers* that the dark chocolate compound found in the below products will now state “contains milk” as opposed to “may contain milk”:
- Dark Choc Espresso Nut Bar
- Salted Dark Choc & Almond Protein Bar
- Dark Choc & Cranberry Protein Bar
The opening tab on packaging of the products above will be updated to call out “new allergen alert – contains milk”.
New packaging will be rolled out across supermarkets and on shelves from July 2021.
For further information on any of these products, you can contact Carman’s Consumer Care team on 1300 555 885 between the hours of 9am & 5pm AEST Monday to Friday.
