Be one of the first to try a new online support tool designed to help caregivers manage food allergy anxiety and improve their mental health
Caring for a child with food allergy can have a significant impact on the quality of life and mental health of the parent or caregiver. Despite this, there are few places to find psychological support.
Aston University is seeking to address this with the launch of a new online support tool called FACETS (Food Allergy Coping Empowerment Tools and Support). FACETS has been designed to improve quality of life, anxiety and communication for caregivers of children living with food allergy. Researchers now need to see how well it works.
If you are a parent or caregiver of a child or children aged under 18 with a clinically-diagnosed food allergy, please click the link below to find out more about taking part in the pilot study, led by Aston University.
Project title: Piloting of FACETS: an online psychoeducation intervention for people living with food allergy and their caregivers
Ethics approval: HLS21294 (approved by Aston University College of Health and Life Sciences Research Ethics Committee)
