Living with Allergy Guides for patients

As part of our Allergy Connect® program, Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia has developed Living with Allergy Guides to help people better manage their allergies on a daily basis.

We know that not having easy access to evidence-based information about allergic disease has a negative impact on a patient’s quality of life. Patients tell us that accurate, easy to understand information received directly to their inbox is what would help them.

What do patients receive?

Our free Living with Allergy Guides are packed full of useful, evidence-based information and resources, delivered as an email education series. Patients will receive the series of educational emails over a two week period, with tailored, easy to understand information on their chosen topic.

Patients can also call our Allergy Educators (trained health professionals) on our free National Allergy Helpline 1300 728 000 to answer any questions. We encourage them to keep in touch with their GP, Nurse Practitioner and Pharmacist as needed.

We currently have Living with Allergy Guides available on the following topics, with more under development.

Living with Allergic Rhinitis Guide

The Guide includes a series of six education emails sent over two weeks, with step by step information on everyday allergic rhinitis (hay fever) management including allergic conjunctivitis (eye allergy).

Emails will also include information on different areas of management such as avoiding triggers, allergy testing, how to use a nasal spray correctly, immunotherapy and avoiding thunderstorm asthma.
