A positive experience when dining during the festive season

"Christmas is an occasion with many dining experience. My son is at risk of anaphylaxis to dairy and peanut and has only recently managed to have wheat but we are still avoiding it outside the home. He has rarely eaten out and we normally take his food to restaurants when we do.
We had a Christmas gathering on the weekend at Two Brothers, Castle Hill, NSW and had the most amazing experience. The Two Brothers serves Lebanese food, and I understand it often contains dairy and nuts. The two chefs (brothers) were very helpful and said that they eliminated nuts from the main meals because of allergy problems. He said most of the main meals except for chicken (which was marinated in yogurt) were safe for him. They grilled the skewers in separate grills for him to avoid cross contamination.
We are so happy to find another safe meal outside the house. A few restaurants nearby have said they cannot cater for his allergies, so this is very positive feedback for Two Brothers."

Our Chef Cards (made for you to personalise) are a great tool to communicate your allergy/s directly to the kitchen in a clear and efficient manner after speaking with wait staff about your allergy/s. Ask for the Chef Card to come back with your meal so that the correct meal without the allergen/s goes to the right person. Download here: A&AA Chef Cards
We also recommend you watch out Eating Out With Food Allergies webinar for lots of helpful information. You can view it here: Eating out with food allergies
