Allergic rhinitis: patient resources

Help your patients beat allergic rhinitis this spring!

Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia has been supporting patients for many years to manage their allergic rhinitis. Last year, we launched an Allergic Rhinitis Starter Kit and email education series, packed full of useful information and resources, which helped over 1,100 consumers to better manage their condition.

This year we are asking health care professionals to help us spread the word and encourage patients to join our email education series the first of which is our Allergic Rhinitis Starter Kit.

We know that this condition has a negative impact on patient’s quality of life.

Patients tell us that accurate, easy to understand information received directly to their inbox is what would help them.

What do patients receive?

Patients will receive a series of emails over 2 weeks. The first email is our Allergic Rhinitis Starter Kit – a step by step information guide on everyday allergic rhinitis management including allergic conjunctivitis (eye allergy). The following emails include information on different areas of management such as avoiding triggers, allergy testing, how to use a nasal spray correctly, immunotherapy and avoiding thunderstorm asthma.

Patients can call our Allergy Educators (trained health professionals) on the FREE National Allergy Helpline 1300 728 000 to answer any questions. We encourage them to keep in touch with their GP, Nurse Practitioner and Pharmacist as needed.

Please email us if you wish to see the email education series your patients would receive – [email protected]
