Allergen update: Sanitarium – Weet-Bix™ Bites – Soy

Soy added to the Precautionary Allergen Labelling (PAL) statement on Weet-Bix™ Bites Wild Berry and Weet-Bix™ Bites Apricot

This is an important announcement for Weet-Bix™ Bites fans who may be sensitive to, or allergic to soy.

The allergen status of Weet-Bix™ Bites Wild Berry and Weet-Bix™ Bites Apricot products has been updated to reflect a new risk of cross-contact with soy.

These Weet-Bix™ Bites packs now include the PAL statement “May contain: lupin, soy”. The previous PAL statement was “May contain: lupin”. The updated allergen status is a result of introducing a new ingredient containing soy on the same production line, used in other products.

Look for the blue allergen alert label on packs arriving in Australia and New Zealand supermarkets from November 2025.

The first Weet-Bix™ Bites products to show the new allergen labelling will be on shelf from November 2025.

There may be some cross-over time during which these products with and without may contain soy allergen labelling are on shelves.

Allergen alert flashes have been included on front and side of pack for all products that may contain this new allergen to help consumers identify this change:
