Label update: Cobs Crunchy Popcorn Bars Sweet & Salty Almond

The name of Cobs Crunchy Popcorn Bars Sweet & Salty Almond has changed to make its ingredients even clearer

Kinrise, which manufactures Cobs popcorn products, has asked us to communicate the below message:

At Cobs, food safety is something we care deeply about and listening to what our consumers are saying is important. That’s why we’ve decided to update the packaging for our Cobs Crunchy Popcorn Bars Sweet & Salty Almond product to make the presence of peanuts even clearer for consumers.

The product will now be named:

Cobs Crunchy Popcorn Bars Sweet & Salty Almond & Peanut

Cobs Crunchy Popcorn Bars Almond old packaging
Old packaging
Cobs Crunchy Popcorn Bars Sweet & Salty Almond & Peanut new packaging
New packaging

This product contains peanuts and is not suitable for anyone who needs to avoid peanuts.

There has been no change to the recipe, ingredients or allergen contentofthe product. While peanuts have always been listed in the ingredients, highlighted in an allergen statement and clearly featured using a large peanut image and claim on the side of pack, this new name on the front of pack will make it even easier for consumers to recognise the presence of peanuts in our product.

You’ll start to see the updated packaging in stores during August 2026 with both the current and new packaging likely to be available during the transition period.

All Cobs product labelling complies with Food Standards Australia New Zealand requirements and follows guidance from the Allergen Bureau.

For any customer enquiries, please contact the Cobs customer service team.

Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia reminder: Always read the label on every packaged food, every time you buy it and before you eat it, even if you buy more than one pack of the same product or have eaten it before.
